Small Chip Dielectric Antenna for Bluetooth Application

Overview This paper proposes the design of a small chip-type dielectric antenna using the advanced meander line technique, so that the radiation metals are formed on the bottom face of a ceramic dielectric and on both faces of the substrate. The proposed antenna's volume can be effectively reduced by using the advanced meander-line technique. Additionally, to minimize the antenna's available area on the substrate and to reduce the coupling between the metal layers and the ground plane, this antenna is located on the corner of the substrate. The measurements and simulated results of the proposed antenna are performed and confirmed for operation as Bluetooth applications.
