Meet Blue or Atomic Kitten: Innovative Mobile Marketing Campaign

Overview Virgin Mobile France launched an "instant win" mobile marketing campaign to promote the new singles of two famous British bands: Blue and Atomic Kitten. Virgin wanted to use the campaign to attract teenagers and young adults to create fan communities. The promotion ran in June of 2003. There were 30,000 CDs printed with the SMS shortcode information on the inserts. Virgin Music France received approximately 3000 replies to this promotion, a 10% success rate. Virgin Mobile France selected Mobile 365 on the strength of the company's quality of advice, as well as the suitability and usability of the applications.
