Tuning Employees Back Onto e-Learning

Overview Headquartered in London, Marconi has research and development facilities in 19 countries, manufacturing operations in 16 countries and customers in over 100 countries. Marconi's primary focus had been on returning the business to stability and profitability, so there were no elaborate designs around training and limited scope for investing in training activity. The main focus of training available to the company's employees was e-learning, in the form of an online catalogue of around 800 courses accessible via a 'Marconi University' portal. The majority of the e-learning content was supplied by a large generic IT and business e-learning provider, with additional management modules from two business schools and in-house custom-built material.
