Financial Assessment of Fourth Generation Mobile Technologies
Overview The main objective of this paper has been to analyze the financial implications of emerging and future technologies in the context of 4G. With a European 4G operator based in the 3G technology as a reference case, the paper analyzes and synthesizes the financial impacts and prospects of two 4G visions. As a general conclusion, European operators and interest groups are served well to focus on making the 3G networks a success, since both 4G visions have challenging financials.
