Overview Goodrich Aviation Technical Services (ATS) is North America's largest, single-site, third-party provider of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services. To maintain their market leadership position, ATS continuously reviews operations for opportunities to create competitive advantages not only for themselves, but for their customers. As part of ATS's continuous improvement and lean philosophies, ATS commissioned Prudentia Consulting to develop a business case and strategy to use RFID technology for tracking airplane parts within their operations. This case study will describe the approach, observations, benefits, implications, and recommendations for utilizing RFID in an MRO environment.
