Overview AVTOVAZ is not just the leading auto manufacturer in Russia but it's also the largest in Eastern Europe. They wanted to implement a server infrastructure and improve efficiency of their corporate information system and speed crucial end-of-month reporting procedures. They wanted to boost workforce efficiencies and information availability at management and factory floor levels. The company consolidated from 29 RISC-based servers to just two high performance HP Integrity servers based on the Intel Itanium 2 microarchitecture. The company migrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution to two Itanium 2-based HP Integrity Superdome servers running Oracle 9.2, doubling the number of concurrent users and speeding the delivery of business-critical data.
