Microsoft offers a number of security mechanisms and tools as part of Windows operating systems or as add-ons, but some of them are just gathering dust. Here are 10 of the most underappreciated Microsoft security technologies.
For the past few years, security has been a top priority for Microsoft, as evidenced by various tools included with Windows and available as free downloads. IT pro Tom Shinder has identified 10 of these technologies that he says are not being used to their full potential. Here's a sample:
