Capgemini Case Study: NRMA Insurance NZ Ltd.
Overview NRMA NZ is a Wellington based insurance company, owned by the Australian company Insurance Australia Group (formerly NRMA). The systems Integration project will replace NRMA NZ's two legacy core insurance systems with a package specifically designed by a UK software company for composite general insurance companies. The current systems are constraining NRMA NZ's ability to compete in the NZ marketplace in a number of key ways. The project has started in January 2002 and comprises the development and system design, and then the integration of a package underwriting system (built with Microsoft products). Capgemini will be managing the implementation team of over 50 resources, including the management of the software developers.
