HP Supports Greece's Commitment to pan-European Electronic Research Infrastructures

Overview The public agency GRNET is the national research and education network operator in Greece. It has been tasked by the Ministry Development, General Secretariat for Research and Technology funded by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, to create a grid-enabled electronic infrastructure in the country. GRNET is committed to providing Grid-enabled electronic infrastructures throughout Greece and this ambitious project is fast becoming a reality thanks to more than 380 dual-CPU HP servers and storage devices. GRNET is installing 384 dual node HP servers - 28 HP ProLiant DL360s which will run the network and 356 HP ProLiant DL140s for data processing.
