Data Protector Underpins Slovenia's Postal Revolution

Overview Slovenia's national postal service, Posta Slovenij, is undergoing a revolution that will significantly increase the number of services that the population can access through its 550 local post offices. In addition to its normal postal delivery service, Posta Slovenij already offers banking services and it now plans to expand its scope with even more value added e-services. To make these ambitious plans a reality, Posta Slovenij had to move up to 24x7 operation, which meant having a highly available and totally manageable infrastructure. Posta Slovenij went to public tender then chose to engage with HP for the implementation of its new infrastructure. The solution includes HP servers and storage products and revolves around a principal datacentre and secondary DR site in the town of Maribor.
