Choosing the Right JVM for Windows and Linux on Intel Architecture-Based HP Systems!

Overview The java virtual machines have been optimized for specific hardware. IBM has a JVM for power. HP has a JVM specifically for PA risk. On Intel processing platforms such as the Itanium, whether running Windows or Linux, J Rocket is the JVM of choice. The thing to remember is that every major processor manufacturer out there in the market has an optimized OS and JVM stack. Solaris is optimized for Spark, Hotspot's optimized for Solaris, while on Intel side J Rocket is the JVM that's optimized for Windows and Linux on the Itanium systems. The goal obviously is to provide best performance per processor per platform. J Rocket is the JVM that's been optimized for Intel platforms.
