Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Implements Getronics Easily Configurable IT Support System

Overview The Belgian Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs employs approximately 2,800 people worldwide. Their IT systems are the absolutely critical means of contact with the Brussels headquarters. It must be available 24/7 days, without fail. They wanted to set up an IT support system that is easily and extensively configurable and that offers service level management and reporting. Getronics offered Foreign Affairs the capability of operating their support system independently. The Foreign Affairs IT department decided to implement the standard module of the Getronics Service Management Center (GET.SMC) software. GET.SMC is built on recognized industry standards for the IT service management process laid down by the IT Information Library (ITIL).
