Overview
A policy of recommending "preferred web browsers", with which University applications work, was approved by C&ITC in October 2003. The policy requires the list of preferred browsers to be revised and submitted to the IT Committee for approval prior to the start of the academic year. This paper therefore proposes a new list of preferred browsers for academic year 2005 - 2006. If this list is approved, these browsers will be made available in the open-access computing labs, and will be available for local computing officers to deploy to staff managed desktop systems.
