Fleetwood Enterprises Leverages IT in Strategic Expansion Plan

Overview Fleetwood Enterprises is a leading manufacturer of recreational vehicles, wanted to capitalize on opportunities for growth in the RV market - as well as from innovations in their manufactured housing offerings. To integrate complex processes operating in more than 40 distributed manufacturing locations, Fleetwood decided to introduce new enterprise applications on a new and streamlined IT infrastructure. HP 9000 servers support Fleetwood's Oracle Database, Oracle's JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, and Siebel Automotive Call Center applications. The HP StorageWorks XP1024 Disk Array, configured as a SAN, provides data storage for these enterprise applications. To enhance the effectiveness of the new enterprise environment, and because e-mail is a business critical application, Fleetwood also upgraded its Microsoft Exchange environment.
