HP Supports a Showcase Project for the Whole of Portugal
Overview Lusitania is an advisory body to the Portuguese Government, specializing in e-development strategies for the Viseu region - an inland area in the centre of the country which includes 16 towns and 50,000 people. Portuguese advisory body Lusitania embarked on the ViseuDigital project aimed at developing the information and knowledge society to create economic value for its region. To support the project, it needed the advice of an expert technology partner in creating a state-of-the-art datacentre. Lusitania chose HP which provided an infrastructure including an HP StorageWorks EVA 3000 for central storage, HP OpenView Data Protector to manage the backup, ProCurve Switch 2824 series to support the networking and ongoing management and maintenance of the datacenter for three years.
