SAP ERP Application Performance at Microsoft Excels, Thanks to HP+AMD Solution

Overview Microsoft Corporation needed to boost sales functionality of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. However, the company's SAP R/3 servers were approaching their end of life and were already at full capacity. The staff also wanted to migrate from a 32-bit to a 64-bit SAP R/3 system - without affecting the live production environment - to provide greater ERP performance. A robust new platform of HP ProLiant DL585 servers powered by AMD Opteron processors enabled Microsoft to implement new sales/pricing functionality, meet increased processing demands, reduce data center costs, and streamline IT administration.
