U.S. Army Deploys Fortress Technologies to Secure Combat Information Systems

Overview Today's military relies on mobility and operational flexibility. The U.S. Army's equivalent of a corporate supply chain is the Combat Service Support Automated Information System Interface (CAISI). CAISI is a tactical wireless LAN that serves as the "last mile" and is a vital link in supplying soldiers with the equipment and supplies needed to stay equipped, in touch and on the move. What the Army needed was a low latency solution that was quick and easy to deploy, yet secure enough to protect the Army's vital information assets in the most perilous situations. The U.S. Army selected AirFortress Wireless Security Gateways to secure their CAISI battlefield logistics application.
