Autodesk Case Study: Munich Airport, Germany

Overview AutoCAD Map and Autodesk MapGuide are used in a series of departments at the airport: Technical Documentation, Security, Infrastructure, Communication, Network Management, Facility Management, Traffic Management and Winter Service. All these departments are using information supplied from a central GIS. In the form of a co-operation project, the airports of Munich and Stuttgart decided to replace their current system with a solution based upon AutoCAD Map and Autodesk. As part of the criteria that led to this decision was the fact Autodesk's DWG has become a defacto standard for graphic information that is used by many tailored vertical applications.
