Extreme Networks Helps Illinois Community High School District 117 Meet the Education Needs of a Growing Community

Overview Founded in 1915, Illinois Community High School District 117 is located in northeast Illinois and is comprised of four schools: Antioch Community High School, Allendale School, Gateway, and Lakes Community High School, which opened in August 2004. They wanted to increase the network's performance and reliability while meeting their budgetary requirements. Extreme Networks delivered a solution that not only met the network needs, but can also scale to meet their needs as the number of users, applications and sites grow. With Extreme Networks Summit 300 Unified Access switches, students and faculty have wireless access available in all main areas, including the cafeterias, common rooms, and the library.
