North Arundel Hospital Goes Wireless With Extreme Networks

Overview Focused on quality, North Arundel Hospital understands the importance of using the latest technology to deliver patient care. In 2000, North Arundel Hospital evaluated several alternatives to its existing ATM infrastructure. The hospital wanted a new solution that could address escalating maintenance costs while delivering gigabit to the edge for increased bandwidth. After assessing multiple solutions, North Arundel selected Extreme Networks. Today the hospital has wireless COWs available for all operating rooms, and will be rolling out wireless connectivity to six floors in the hospital plus seven floors in the new patient tower.
