Fortress Technologies Case Study: Langside College

Overview Langside College in Glasgow, Scotland, enrolls over 10,000 students on 4 main campuses and 80 community-based locations. Wireless networks provide a cost-efficient solution for current access demands with room to expand. However, wireless networks create new security challenges for information technology managers and administrators. A strong security solution was, therefore, needed to protect from both internal and external attacks. Access control was also needed so that if a laptop were lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised, it could be denied access to the network. Langside found that Fortress met its current and future requirements.
