Greenville Hospital System (GHS) is the largest healthcare provider in the state of South Carolina. With backup failures and the time taken to do backups exceeded the required time windows, they simply didn't have the data. GHS had to act fast to cure that situation. GHS evaluated vendor proposals, deciding in favor of StorageTek. StorageTek's Professional Services' project managers helped the hospital stabilize its problem by standardizing its UNIX and Windows backup processes, utilizing an installed PowderHorn 9310 tape library.
