Overview The capacity and feature sets of mobile handsets have expanded rapidly, and most new handsets that mostly come standard with robust embedded browsers. Several opportunities have stemmed from this evolution, and many parties stand to benefit from them. As many mobile browsers enable access to all Web content, users are able to the information they need: anytime, anywhere. Additionally, as the mobile browser is the main channel for rich content download, a tremendous opportunity for additional revenue generation exists for mobile operators and service providers. Finally, the adoption of XHTML within the Web community as the standard markup language for browsing brings mobile communications into alignment with the latest advances in Internet content development and presentation.
