Performance of a Multi-Hops Configuration With 802.11: From Simulation to Experimentation

Overview This paper experiments the rate offered by 802.11 on a multi-hops configuration constituted of a chain of mobiles. The paper shows that the rate achieved on a four-hops chain is around 200kb/s with wireless cards at 2Mb/s and is very unstable. This paper also compares the experimental results to simulation results.
