ATCA for Wireless Infrastructure

Overview As wireless carriers prepare their networks for soaring minutes-of-use, fixed/mobile convergence, and the new wave of rapid-fire service creation enabled by IMS, they are looking to equipment vendors to provide the next generation of high-performance, flexible, and cost-effective equipment. Key to this is the introduction of new, high-availability hardware platforms, such as ATCA (Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture), that will support the evolution of critical mobile network nodes in 2G, 3G, and WiMax systems.
