Galgon Industries, Inc., a global, privately-owned contract manufacturer, had a legacy Symix Manufacturing ERP system that was near the end of its product lifecycle. Since Galgon had clearly outgrown Symix's capabilities, it was seeking dynamic profitability indicators to help drive business decisions, as well as a system that would "future-proof" its supply chain relationship with business partners. The organization also wanted to enable better communication with, and among, customers and the supply chain, as well as ensure high-quality, real-time financial information. After considering dozens of vendors, Galgon chose Oracle E-Business Suite, with implementation from Technology Solutions Company (TSC) consulting.
