sanrise Chooses StorageTek L700 Library for Its Best-of-Breed Solution

Overview sanrise was founded to be a managed storage solutions provider (MSSP), with services deployed in data centers belonging to Exodus Communications, the leading Internet hosting company. The concept for storagecel, sanrise's SAN offering and service delivery vehicle, was to build a best-of-breed solution and deploy it in "cookie cutter" fashion in multiple data centers. For the tape backup system, sanrise specified a minimum of 20 drives, with the highest ratio possible of drives to automated library slots. A storagecel consists of a Hitachi disk array, a StorageTek L700 tape library, Crossroads bridge, Brocade switch fabric and VERITAS software.
