Overview What is Siebel Application Response Measurement (SARM)? What did Siebel build into their product? Siebel ARM is a mechanism for response-time measurement of Siebel eBusiness Applications at key locations within the Siebel Server infrastructure. These time measurements are classified into the following categories - Web Server Time: time required for the Web server to process a request, Infra-Network Time: time required for the Web server to forward the request to the Siebel Server (including the network transport time), Siebel Server Time: time required for the Siebel Server and Database Server to process the request (time between Server Thread [SMI] and any database-layer calls), Database Time: time required for Siebel Database-layer calls.
