Sun Case Study: Ligare Book Printer

Overview Ligare Book Printer, Australia's largest privately owned book manufacturer, decided to pursue a massive undertaking to replace its information systems infrastructure. Ligare Book Printer required a cost-effective secure remote access solution that provided cross-platform support and centralized administration for Oracle e-business applications via a thin-client network. By deploying Tarantella Enterprise 3 software in a Solaris environment with Sun Ray thin clients, Ligare is able to provide the head office, multiple manufacturing and distribution sites, as well as remote staff, with access to business critical applications, including its new Oracle mPowered Manufacturing suite.
