When the Italian city of Turin wanted to deploy its accounting applications to low-cost client devices, it decided that the solution was to web-enable these applications. The challenge was to web-enable them quickly, without any costly application rewrites or changes to the existing network architecture. Tarantella web-enabling software, provided by CSI-Piemonte, enabled the city to web-enable these applications quickly. The city now benefits from the resulting lower costs and increased efficiency.
