Manufacturer Cuts Costs 50 Percent by Migrating SAP From IBM to Windows Server and Dell

Overview Headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) provides converting, printing, and packaging technologies. PCMC's SAP R/3 solution was getting too big for its under-powered IBM AS/400 system. Staying with IBM would have meant a costly upgrade or an expensive maintenance contract. PCMC migrated to Microsoft Windows Server System including the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database system, running on Dell PowerEdge servers and a Dell/EMC CX600 disk.
