Overview Ontario Air Ambulance provides medical oversight to the Provincial Transfer Authorization Centre (PTAC) for patient transfers in the Province of Ontario. The SARS outbreak in the Province of Ontario created a need to screen patient transfers carefully to prevent the spread of the disease between healthcare facilities. The solution was a Microsoft.NET-based application that screens patient transfer requests for SARS symptoms and facilitates communication to prevent spreading the disease.
