SpareBank 1 Increases Customer Satisfaction by 12 Percent in Two Years Using BEA and HP eBanking Solution

Overview SpareBank 1 Group is one of the largest providers of financial products and services in Norway and has total assets of $5.5 billion (2003). SpareBank 1 recognized that to stay ahead of its competitors, it needs to develop, test, and launch new, rewarding eBanking functionality quickly, and cost-effectively. They recognized the need to streamline its platform strategy, in order to accelerate development, maintain rapid response times, and ensure cost-effective, uninterrupted availability. On this basis, the bank migrated its eBanking environment from a Solaris-based platform to a J2EE-based HP and Intel platform running Linux.
