Extending the Reach of Hosted SAP Systems on Sun Fire 15K Platform
Overview Nearly encircled by the Atlantic Ocean, the eastern Canadian province of Nova Scotia is a picturesque playground of lakes, forests and beaches. They needed a robust and scalable hardware platform to support their different SAP systems, without having to build up the environment server by server. Sun began the engagement with the province with its Application Readiness Service, an offering designed to deliver fast and successful implementation of Sun Fire servers with minimal risk. As part of the service, Sun consultants managed the design, configuration, implementation and testing of the province's Sun Fire 15K server, preparing it to run SAP R/3.
