Mid-Level Accounting Software Takes Off

Overview Mid-market accounting software of today offers the best chance to not only retain client companies in the same software line no matter how big they grow, but it also offers an ease of customization that helps retain those clients. Microsoft/Great Plains, though claiming to be a long-time player in the mid-market because of GP's history, is generally seen as the biggest new name entering the fray. Not far behind is Intuit, maker of QuickBooks, which owns some 85 percent of the entry-level accounting software market, and is poised to promote its own mid-market solution.
