The Evolution of the CPM System

Overview The definition of corporate performance management (CPM) has been consistent since industry analysts Gartner Research introduced CPM in 2001. CPM is an umbrella term that describes all of the processes, methodologies, metrics and systems needed to measure and manage the performance of an organization. Cognos is now complementing its solid, integrated technology foundation for CPM with a whole-product approach. Cognos has developed out-of-the-box reports, metrics, analytics, and will be adding plans and financial models for key operational areas of every business: finance, operations, customer and workforce.
