The Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania (IFP), with approximately 200 insurer members, is the Commonwealth's leading trade association for commercial insurers. Processing an accident report used to be a costly, time-consuming process taking three to six weeks to become available to the insurance company for claim settlement. During this lag time, the insurer incurred significant costs. The IFP engaged CIBER to work with the city and a core group of insurers to improve this process. In just six months, CIBER consultants designed, developed and deployed new workflows, an imaging system, an accounting application and a web-based image retrieval e-commerce system.
