Comparison of a Traditional CDMA Network Cellular Repeater and Oberon's C-BRES
Overview Oberon's C-BRES is a next generation "smart" repeater that resolves many of the problems that plague traditional cellular repeaters. It is built on an F1-F2-F1 frequency translating principle that avoids the stability issues of a F1-F1 repeater that limits the repeater's maximum gain and causes hard to solve antenna isolation problems. Also, the C-BRES can expertly configure itself when first turned on based on operating constraints entered by the cellular carrier. The C-BRES can then maintain an optimum operating point by relying on absolute knowledge of interference and loading within cell.
