Programming Indigo: Contracts

Overview This paper discusses how service, data, and message contracts are created in order to build interoperable services. Contracts are what make interoperable services possible. The paper will go into detail about the three kinds of contracts in Indigo: service contracts, data contracts, and message contracts. Contracts are one of the fundamental concepts in Indigo. They allow clients and services to have a common understanding of available operations, data structures, and message structures while remaining loosely coupled and platform independent.
