Dell Hardware and Online Learning Software Increase Interest and Participation in K-12 Education Environment

Overview As a part of the College of Education at Illinois State University, University High School works with college educators to train many new teachers for their careers. The school wanted to expand opportunities for students to take additional course offerings and to participate in additional activities that supplemented their face-to-face classroom experience by increasing online learning opportunities. First, University High School (UHS) purchased over 80 Dell desktop computers to equip two computer labs and 26 faculty members with high-quality systems. Next, UHS purchased a license for eCollege (online learning support), a flexible online course shell that all faculty and students are able to utilize both during and outside of regular class time for discussions, document sharing, testing and more.
