Automated Load Tests Ensure SAP R/3 Reliability, Performance for Texaco (UK) Ltd.

Overview Texaco (U.K.) Ltd. is the fourth largest gasoline retailer in the U.K. and ranks among the top 10 oil producers in the North Sea. The challenge was how to ensure that a new SAP R/3 exploration and production ("upstream") system in multiple locations throughout the U.K. would perform reliably and effectively when deployed? The solution implemented was automated load test using Mercury Interactive's LoadRunnerandMercury WinRunner, in combination with SAP R/3, UNIX and network utilities.
