Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Centralized CICS Monitoring

Overview Industrial and Commercial Bank of China is the largest bank in the People's Republic of China (PRC) with over 560,000 employees and annual profits of US $416.7 million. Managing systems to meet customer need and providing information that is easily accessed and acted upon is a main concern. ICBC implemented several MAINVIEW products from BMC Software in their environment. The bank runs OS/390 using DB2 databases on a CICS network. One of the greatest challenges for ICBC was to make the entire system reliable so that it could save, retrieve, and manage data in a timely manner. BMC Software DB2 performance tools ensure that the ICBC databases are always in perfect health with optimized performance.
