A Hardware/Software Architecture for the Control of Self Reconfigurable Robots

Overview This paper presents a hardware control architecture based on the coupling of a CPU and a FPGA on a single board. To this basic module, the authors add a wireless communication based on Bluetooth. This paper presents how the authors use this for the control of self-reconfigurable module. In fact, by changing the low level loops in the FPGA, one can implement PID controler to control more classical robots.
