Overview Altis Semiconductor was founded in 1999 as a joint venture between IBM Microelectronics and Infineon Technologies. At the end of 2001, Altis Semiconductor decided to reconsider its supervision system. Having relied until then on a competing technology, the company had to integrate new infrastructure elements and rethink its solution on a more global level. In January 2002, following the call for tenders, Altis Semiconductor decided to put its trust in BMC Software and adopted PATROL Enterprise Manager, PATROL Explorer and a log analysis solution. Altis Semiconductor is now able to assess the quality of the service provided to the production department for all machines and applications.
