Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System: Supporting Best Business Practices for the Enterprise

Overview Lockheed Martin has partnered with the United States Navy on a development strategy that includes the use of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, such as PeopleSoft, Business Objects and Oracle. This approach takes advantage of Business Process Re-engineering and continuous process improvement to achieve commercial HR 'best practices.' This enterprise-wide, COTS-based, single point-of-entry system supports Navy Active Duty and Reserve Forces.
