On the Connectivity of Multihop Bluetooth Ad Hoc Networks

Overview This paper concerns the connectivity of multihop Bluetooth (BT) network. The connectivity properties of the BT network depend mainly in the device discovery procedure. By using a single frequency train instead of double trains in alternate inquiry (inquiry scan) periods, simulation results show that nodes can discover most of their neighbors in shorter time and hence the BT is connected with high probability. The emerged BT graph is compared with the physical graph in terms of probability of connectivity, average node degree, minimum degree and the shortest path length.
