Analysis of UDP Performance Over Bluetooth

Overview The Bluetooth protocol is one of the better-known technologies in the field of pervasive computing and is now beginning to emerge in the consumer electronics marketplace in devices such as digital cameras, mobile phones and laptops. This paper examines the performance of the Bluetooth protocol using a simulator developed as part of the University of Berkeley's Network Simulator (ns). In particular, the performance of the UDP transport protocol when Bluetooth is used as the bearer carrier is examined.
