Auto Industry Supplier ArvinMeritor Gains Flexibility by Synchronizing Orders, Supply Chain, and Production

Overview Fierce global competition keeps pushing ArvinMeritor to find better ways to build its products. They had an aging applications infrastructure that was customized and costly to replace, even if they stayed with the same vendor. Also, the mainframe applications weren't fully linked together, making it hard to achieve real-time enterprise integration. ArvinMeritor had an increasing need for internal supply chain integration. Oracle filled ArvinMeritor's need. Today two of its brake plants are live with an Oracle E-Business Suite solution that includes Oracle Flow and Discrete Manufacturing, Oracle Order Management - including Release Management - Oracle Financials, and Oracle iSupplier.
