Overview In 1995, E*TRADE FINANCIAL was one of the fastest-growing private companies in Silicon Valley. Early on, E*TRADE FINANCIAL realized that a robust, Web-enabled, ERP application was essential for delivering relevant and timely strategic data in a manner that was consistent with E*TRADE FINANCIAL's overall philosophy. The challenge was identifying the way they would look at the business in the future and ensuring their account structure would be flexible enough to meet the needs of management. Within Oracle Financials, E*TRADE FINANCIAL designed an account segment structure that accommodated the organization at that stage, but that also could handle rapid growth, multiple locations, countries and lines of business.
