Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. Tackles Complex Supply Chain With Integration

Overview Marvell Semiconductor, Inc., a Sunnyvale, California-based semiconductor company that produces technology for communications, networking, and storage products, found that smart management, the right product mix, and sheer grit trumped the tech downturn that began in 2001. Most pressing for Marvel was accurately tracking WIP inventory at any of a dozen subcontractors across three continents, and that process was failing. After evaluating offerings from several vendors, Marvell chose a solution from Oracle that combined key modules of Oracle Manufacturing and Oracle Financials with the integration capabilities of Oracle Application Server. With the Oracle solution, visibility into Marvell's far-flung operations improved dramatically.
